Pentecostal Theology is being taught by Emilio Alvarez.
Alvarez was present for the Asbury revival that took place in February 2023 at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, where he serves as an associate provost. He holds a Ph.D. in Religious Education from Fordham University in the Bronx, New York and is currently pursuing a second Ph.D. in Divinity at Aberdeen University. He is the author of Pentecostal Orthodoxy: Toward an Ecumenism of the Spirit and Pentecost: A Day of Power for All People.
This course provides students with an understanding of the doctrine of the Holy Spirit in terms of its development in the early church as well as the contemporary Pentecostal/Charismatic context. Some attention will be given to distinctive Pentecostal concerns such as Spirit Baptism, Gifts of the Spirit, and Divine Healing.
We are excited to welcome Alvarez onto our campus and would love for you to come learn from him.
This class is being offered in person and livestreamed.

Theory and Practice of Disciple Making is being taught by Sean Stevenson-Douglas.
Between Pentecost and AD350, the church grew approximately 40% per decade. This explosive expansion was not by accident, nor was it a unique event in church history. The Church is meant to grow through multiplication of new disciple-making groups, not merely by addition to existing ones. This course will describe the Biblical underpinnings and current best practices around what missiologists call “disciple making movements” (DMM).
Sean served as a global worker in the middle east for six years and now serves as the president of Eston College working to mentor and disciple students. Come learn from someone who has actually practiced the DMM model. DMM is also being used by Beyond who are sending ACOP missionaries to the unreached.
We are excited to dive into this model of disciple making and equip you to use it as well.
This class is being offered in person and livestreamed.
