On January 23, 2025, the federal government released draft legislation to extend the 2024 charitable donation deadline to February 28, 2025. This change gives Canadians the option to claim their January and February 2025 donations on their 2024 tax return. Parliament will be asked to approve this change retroactively when it returns.

ACOP normally issues a single official receipt to each donor for all the donations made in a calendar year. Your receipt for gifts made in 2024 has already been mailed or emailed to you.

To keep administrative costs as low as possible, ACOP will only send receipts for January and February 2025 donations upon request.  You may request a receipt for your January and February 2025 donations by email at info@acop.ca or by calling the ACOP office at 1-403-273-5777.
