Since 2019, the EFC and 15 other denominations and ministry organizations have partnered together to research the state of faith formation in Canadian evangelical homes. We believe accessing and learning from evangelical parents will be invaluable for the future of the church in Canada.
We are recruiting for two surveys:
1. The first survey is for parents. This survey will ask parents about their faith formation activities in the home and the role of the church in supporting these efforts. We hope pastors will encourage parents in their congregations to participate.
The parent survey is a 15-minute survey that will ask parents about their faith formation activities in the home and the role of the church in supporting their efforts to pass their faith onto their children.
As Pastor, please pass the link on to parents in your congregation.

I’m reaching out to the parents in our congregation who have children under the age of 18 in the home. The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada and its partners are conducting a study on faith formation in the home. They are recruiting parents to understand how Canadian evangelical parents (or guardians) pass their faith onto their children. Parents who participate will have a chance to enter a prize draw for one of three $250 Amazon gift cards and receive a copy of the report when the study is complete.
I encourage you to take this survey to help the church better serve you. I will not know if you participated or not.
Thanks for taking the time to participate.
2. The second survey is for pastors, or a staff member who oversees family and children’s ministry. This is a short survey testing how those in ministry perceive and meet the needs of families in their congregation.
The pastor survey is a short, 10-minute survey asking how you perceive and meet the needs of families in your congregation. You’ll also have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for one of three $250 Amazon gift cards and receive a copy of the report when the study is complete. Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary, and others will not know if you participated or not.
If you are interested in participating, please click the button below to complete the survey.
Our research is only as valuable as the population it represents. The more participation we have, the more relevant and representative the results will be for pastors to benefit from the findings.
